Majority of these milk alternatives lack nutritional balance when compared to milk, however they contain functionally active components with health promoting properties which attracts health conscious consumers.

- Flax seeds milk -I am starting with flax seeds milk because this is my favorite super food. Flax seed Milk contains no cholesterol or lactose, making it a heart-healthy alternative. Its filled with omega-3 fatty acids that are shown to prevent cancer, diabetes, heart diseases and strokes. In addition to having vitamins A, B 12 and D, it is gluten-free, soy-free and nut-free!Flax Milk has more fiber than oat milk, 3 grams per serving. With 7 grams of sugar per serving, it has less sugar than many oat milk brands. Flax milk also offers 3 grams of plant based protein per serving and 3310 mg of naturally occurring ALA Omega-3s
Soya milk
– This is one of the most nutritious vegan options, with about 8 g of protein and greater bio availability than other alt milks. Soy milk has a thick and creamy texture that makes it perfect in your latte.- Hazelnut milk:Packed with B vitamins, essential to mental health, antioxidant-rich vitamin E, folic acid, which helps produce red blood cells and transport oxygen through your body (preventing anemia, heart disease, even cancer), and omega-3 fatty acids that can keep your blood pressure in control.
- Walnut milk -Low in carbs (unsweetened varieties only), high in fat and high protein. It helps to keep blood sugar levels steady. Rich in antioxidants. A great source of essential fatty acids as well as fiber.
Oat milk
– Also gaining in popularity in most recent years because of its taste and thick & creamy texture. The flavor profile of oat milk pairs well with coffee. Oat milk provides fewer nutrients than dairy milk, and most of the nutrients it provides are fortified. That means they're added during manufacturing, as opposed to occurring naturally.- Banana milk :Banana milk is generally considered a healthy and safe addition to a balanced diet. However, individuals with blood sugar issues or kidney disease may want to limit their intake.
- Potato milk: Potato milk is the latest alternative milk on the market. It is currently sold in Europe by a Swedish company named DUG.They have a low glycaemic load, so don't affect your blood sugar as much as pasta or rice. As a plant-based milk, it's more allergen-friendly than many, with no soy, gluten or nuts and is also low in saturated fats and fortified with folic acid, vitamin D and B12.
Coconut milk
– Contains medium-chain fatty acids and lactose-free with anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties, May support cardiovascular health. It May reduce stomach ulcers.Creamy and sometimes found in cans, this sweet, tropical milk works well in smoothies, soups and curries.Rice milk
– This one's a bit watery, starchy, and very low in protein. It's a good choice if you want a low-fat plant-based milk.Cashew milk
– This tasty vegan milk offers 4-5 g of protein per serving; it's also one of the higher calorie alt milks on the market.Hemp milk – Hemp milk has a similar nutrition profile compared with cashew milk. The flavor is a bit nutty, might not be the best one to drink a glass of by itself, but blends well in a smoothie . Its filled with omega-3 fatty acids.
Macadamia milk
– Like coconut milk, will have a bit higher saturated fat content compared to other plant milks. Some manufacturers add pea protein to increase the overall protein content of the beverage.Pea milk

Almond milk
– almonds milk is a good alternative for lactose containing milk. almonds milk is low calorie, low protein, and low fat. almonds milk Almond milk provides only 1 gram of protein per cup (240 ml) while cow's and soy milk provide 8 and 7 grams, respectively.
